Gregory W. Swider passed away on August 19, 2020.
A 1986 graduate of Bedford High School, Greg was a tremendous athlete: cyclist, runner, snowboarder, sailor, scuba diver, and fearless hiker who could scale Mt. Katahdin up and back in a day. He was an avid musician, playing guitar in the post-punk ‘90s band Shotgun Remedy, and other rock bands, later branching into jazz guitar. He loved to read and discuss serious economics and political science. Greg blessed us with a hilarious and quirky sense of humor, which could pivot the most turgid debate into uproarious laughter, making us realize how silly it all was. Best of all, Greg was a loyal friend, brother, and son.
Greg’s life will be celebrated with friends and family at Shawsheen Cemetery, at the corner of Shawsheen Road and The Great Road, Bedford, at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
