Although spring classes have been canceled, Bedford TV is pleased to announce that we will now be offering virtual classes!
We know these are difficult, uncertain times, and the inability to do anything outside of your home can feel frustrating. But, perhaps this is a great opportunity to learn a new skill or do something you may not have had time for before. We’re looking to alleviate some of that isolation frustration and stay connected to our students by offering these virtual classes!

INTRODUCTION TO SOUND DESIGN COURSE ~ Sound design is what separates good films from great ones.
This course aims to give students a better understanding of how important sound is in video production. It includes a brief overview of data management, and how to download and import audio files.
We will examine videos of all types and pay close attention to how sound assists in telling a story and establishing mood. Students will complete short assignments between each class and will use the skills learned to create professional sounding video projects. These assignments will focus on the four types of sound: music, effects, speech, and ambiance.
- Recommended for students and adults age 12 and up.
- Required skills and equipment:
- Access to Google Drive
- Gmail.com account
- Video editing software
- At least one recording device; i.e. iPhone, video camera, laptop, microphone, etc.
- Zoom.us conferencing app
