A variety of meetings are coming up this week: Capital Expenditures and Finance Committee; Historic Preservation and Historic District Commission; and ad hoc committees one focused on Hartwell Road and the other convening to begin preparations for Bedford’s 300th birthday.

TUESDAY, October 1, 2019

ad hoc Hartwell Road Committee ~ 7 to 8:30 pm

  • Review Current Research Assignments: Upcoming NWIRP (Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant) structure demolitions on Hartwell Hill; Characterization of NWIRP land parcel; NWIRP divestiture process; Community engagement:  neighborhoods and also town-wide

Historic Preservation Commission – 7:30 pm

 WEDNESDAY, October 2, 2019

Capital Expenditure Committee ~ 7 to 9 pm

  • The committee will hear presentations of FY2020 capital requests for three departments – Fire, Police, and IT/Finance

 Historic District Commission ~ 7:30 to 10:00 pm

  • The Commission will continue hearings on two applications. One is for removal of an outside staircase at 2 South Road and another to build a canopy over existing gas pumps at 105 The Great Road.

Finance Committee  – 7 pm
