A ceremony dedicating “C Field” to Helen Gfroerer, warmly remembered by hundreds of Bedford High School students as Miss G, will take place Saturday, June 15th at 1 pm.
Miss G is being honored for her many years of dedicated service as a teacher and coach at BHS, according to Doreen Mead and the Bedford Athletic Association.
In her 2011 obituary, “Miss G.” is noted to have enjoyed all sports. She taught sailing; skied enthusiastically in her day; and coached cheerleading for the Shriners Football Classic along with her responsibilities at Bedford High School.
