Four Bedford music students worked hard and earned Gold medals at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Solo & Ensemble Festival held at Concord-Carlisle High School on Saturday, April 27.
The students included BHS junior violinist Derek Shao and the JGMS grade 7 chamber ensemble – Christina Kolak, flute; Layla Brown, clarinet; and Caroline Liu, viola.The trio performed ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ by Modeste Moussorgsky and arranged by Tsuyoshi Honjo.
