Band Vertical Concert ~ In the BHS Auditorium ~ Thursday, March 21 at 7 pm

Submitted on behalf of the Performing Arts Department of the Bedford Public Schools

The Performing Arts Department of the Bedford Public Schools is pleased to announce this week’s “Band Vertical Concert,” which will feature performances by multiple bands at Lane, John Glenn Middle, and Bedford High Schools. The concert will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 21st, in the BHS auditorium.

Bands from grades five through twelve will perform pieces from a variety of musical genres.  Featured bands will include the Grade 5, Grade 6, and Grade 7/8 bands, the BHS Concert Band, the BHS and JGMS Jazz Bands, and the BHS Marching Band.  Each band will perform an individual piece and then join together for a combined grand finale: the lively “Leprechaun” march by John O’Reilly.  Ms. Nicole O’Toole, BPS Program Director of Performing Arts directs the Grades 5 and 6 bands, while James Felker directs the 7th through 12th-grade students.

The music students and faculty, as well as the volunteers and supporters of POMS, Bedford’s music booster organization, welcome all interested community members, family, and friends to attend the upcoming concerts. Like all performers, these students would love to have a full and attentive audience.
