MA-791, Bedford High School’s AFJROTC drill team, competed against North Quincy HS, Woonsocket Ct HS, South High School and Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in Peabody on Friday, February 15.
The team took part in both the Inspection and Regulation drills, garnering a 1st place in the Inspection competition, and 3rd place in the Regulation drill.
Drill coaches Charlie Humphrey and Ken Mierz couldn’t be more proud of the effort these cadets have put into practice and preparation, they are so deserving of the awards they received and represent both Bedford and Billerica proudly.
Cadet Captain Cameron Edens reports in to the judge to start the competition
All five schools prepare for individual competition called “Knock Out”. Each individual responds to drill commands, if performed incorrectly they are tapped and leave the competition. This occurs until there are only 5 cadets left, those are your winners.
