  • Lt. Franklin Harwood Canlett from Camp Zachary Taylor, Ky., visited with his parents during the last week.
  • Frank Bellows Davis, U. S.  Receiving Ship, Ellis Island, New York, was the guest of his parents on South st. [sic], during the last week.
  • Services were resumed in the various churches Sunday, the ban being off public gatherings at midnight Saturday evening.
  • Motorists enjoyed being able to use their automobiles Sunday, the ban having been raised from gasoline for the time being.
  • School sessions were opened on Monday morning at the Bedford Union school and the Lexington high school.
  • America has answered the Kaiser’s peace terms. New England and the entire nation are “over the top.” Bedford as usual went over the top early in the campaign.

COUNTY COURT NEWS

The will of Mrs. Oline Pfeiffer of Bedford who died August 8, 1918, has been filed. It is dated May 10, 1918 and names her son Immanuel Pfeiffer of Bedford the executor. No valuation of the estate was filed and all of the bequests are private. The heirs-at-law are Oline B. Pfeiffer of London England, a daughter; William C. I. Pfeiffer of New York City, a son; Louis Pfeiffer of Bedford, a son; Albert Pfeiffer of Lexington, a son; Hannah E. Pfeiffer of Bedford, a daughter. The will is returnable at East Cambridge November 20. Attorney Ralph S. Pickett, 53 State st., Boston, represents the executor.
