Bedford Field Hockey opened up the season at home against DCL Large powerhouse Westford.  The Bucs spotted the Gray Ghosts a 3-0 lead before senior Julia Palazzo scored.  Although Bedford went on to lose, they played Westford to a 1-1 tie after giving up the first three goals.

Coach Ham was most impressed by how the girls prepared in the offseason.  This was the most “well-conditioned” to has seen a team in several years.  The best example was senior, Alyssa Milano darting around on defense with only a few minutes left in the game.

This season’s captains are seniors Ally Milano and Julia Palazzo and Juniors Caitlyn Pequeno and Emily Sollecito.

This year’s returning seniors are Meghan Barnes, Alyssa Gardner, Ashley Guarino, Allison Milano, Julia Palazzo, and Sylvia Yan.

Sophomore Liz Henning is the goalie this year.

Varsity’s next game is away on Thursday, September 6th at Newton South.
