Bedford Boys Soccer team is not impressed.
Bedford opened up the season at home against CCHS which ended with a 2-2 tie. Bedford out hustled CCHS in the first half on their home turf at Sabourin Field. Many Bedford scoring chances were thwarted because the Bucs were too energetic and were caught offsides and long passes.

CCHS scored first, but Bedford’s Sophomore, Jasper Paez tied the score with a cannon shot from outside left. CCHS took the lead 2-1 into the half.
After well-needed rest in the 80-degree heat, both teams came out hard-charging in the second half. The referees allowed a number of shoulder to shoulder “Un-love taps”, but the games aggressiveness never got out of hand.
The Bucs’ Alexander Oleksinski tied the score 2-2 on a beautifully executed breakaway.
Although the Bedford Bucs only have 4 Seniors on the team, they have 16 Juniors – most with varsity experience, which was key to the game as the heat required lots of substitutions for water breaks.
Bedford’s next game is Friday, Sept. 7th at 4 PM at Lincoln-Sudbury.
