The big guys went down early – Christina’s, Emack & Bolio, Cabot’s, JP Licks, and Lizzy’s Homemade were out first. Dairy Joy and Toscanini’s were out in the second round, where Bedford Farms bested Kimball’s in a direct hit.

In the semi-finals, Bedford Farms’ competition is Bubbling Brook, a Westwood restaurant/ice cream stand. At 2 pm on Tuesday, Bubbling Brook was winning by 16 percent, and at 4 pm the gap had narrowed to 14%, meaning it is time for Bedford to get busy and VOTE.

Voting in the semi-final round ends less than 24 hours from now, at noon on Wednesday, July 25. Click this link to vote online, or download the NBC10 app and vote on your smartphone. A results screen will appear to confirm your selection; as soon as that result screen clears, it appears that another vote can be cast from the same device.

It isn’t clear what the contest prize might be, “Bragging rights on social media?” guessed proprietors Joe and Dave Venuti on Tuesday morning. But we all know that Bedford Farms is the best, and ice cream loyalists need to get behind our local dairy and vote it into the Final Four.

Let’s hear it for Bedford Pride: Vote early and vote often: Bring our town’s oldest and (dare we say it) most popular business into NBC10’s Ice Cream Final Four.

Contest specifics: NBC10 says voters must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, and a permanent legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia. Votes must be cast by the authorized account holder of the cell phone from which the vote is cast.
