Spring has sprung and along with new life and activity in our yards and community, spring also brings numerous events in and around Bedford. There is no doubt that reaching out to your existing community is a good way to get the word out about your group or organization, but what can you do to reach new people in town? You can visit BeTC, the Bedford Town Calendar, a community resource brought to you through The Bedford Citizen.
For over five years organizations all through Bedford have been sending articles and press releases to The Bedford Citizen. BeTC gives you another way for your Bedford non-profit to connect with people in town. The calendar is just over two years old and growing every day. We launched a new look for BeTC earlier this year and the calendar now features a cleaner, fresher look that is easier to read and navigate.
Anyone can submit an event to the calendar through our online form. Published events are sent out each week to our email subscriber list every Sunday. A sampling of events is also featured on the home page of The Bedford Citizen. By submitting your event several weeks in advance, it will be included in multiple Sunday Summaries. [You can subscribe to daily or weekly summaries from The Bedford Citizen on our website.]
Events held in Bedford, sponsored by Bedford non-profit organizations, or featuring citizens of Bedford are all welcome in BeTC. The calendar includes, but is not limited to, cultural, educational, faith-based, and family events. Any events submitted by commercial organizations must be free to the public.
If you have any corrections or changes to your event you can always email those changes to [email protected] and we will make the update for you. You can also contact Elizabeth at [email protected] to set up a meeting to discuss how we can help you promote your Bedford based non-profit organization.
