The Recreation Department/Police Basketball League for high school boys not involved in other winter sports ended with an exciting game that came down to a single point last week.

The high school seniors played the officers who had coached them during the season.  The game was extremely close but the seniors pulled out a one point victory at the end, with a score of 46 to 45.  In keeping with the season, last night was competitive, but also fun with a lot of camaraderie among the players and between the players and coaches.

After the game, the officers and all the players who participated this year enjoyed a pizza party and award ceremony.

Volunteering to coach this league is a true testament to the dedication that Chief Bongioro and Bedford’s officers show to our community, and we thank them again this year.
