I told my camera “We have one more Championship this winter, and then we get to take a break until Spring Sports.” Clearly, the Bedford Cheer team did not hear me, because they had other plans.
On Sunday, Bedford Cheer took 4th Place in the Division 3 2018 Winter Cheerleading State Championship, qualifying the team for a berth in next weekend’s All New England Competition.
This is the first time a Bedford Cheer team has been invited to the All New England Competition. The CNESSPA Spirit Championship, sponsored by the Council of New England Secondary Schools Principals Association, will be held at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH, on Saturday, March 17 . . . The final tally: Powerhouse Dracut took 1st pace, with the highest score of all teams, Wilmington took 2nd, and Foxboro edged out Bedford by 0.9 points for 3rd place.
