After Bedford Day’s intense activity, you may be looking for a way to relax and recreate:
- The BHS Cabaret at 7 pm on Saturday, September 23: The BHS Performing Arts Department presents a musical theater cabaret to benefit the victims of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. All proceeds will go to Direct Relief, a charity organization that improves the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies. The cabaret begins at 7 p.m. at the BHS Auditorium. The event is free, but donations to Direct Relief are encouraged. For more information, please email [email protected].
- Quintets for Clarinet and Strings by Mozart and Brahms at 3 pm on Sunday, September 24: Bedford clarinetist Elizabeth Connors and a string quartet will perform a pair of quintets for clarinet and strings: Johannes Brahms’s Quintet, Op. 115 (1891) and Wolfgang Amadè Mozart’s Quintet, K. 581 (1789) at 3 pm on Sunday, September 24 in the sanctuary at First Parish on Bedford Common. Suggested donation at the door is $20, and $15 for seniors/students. Proceeds to benefit the work of the church in the community.
