Shopping for school supplies in August is somewhat out of date: Online retailers work with the schools to assemble and ship full kits of supplies directly to the classroom, one for each student who participates in the plan. The shopping list for each kit has been created by the teachers in each grade.
Bedford Elementary Schools Together, the combined parent teacher organization for Davis and Lane schools, offers the community the opportunity to support a student in need. BEST plans to purchase additional kits for students who are unable to purchase their own supplies and is collecting donations from the community for this cause. The kits range in price from $35 for Grade One, to $71 for Grade Five.
If you would like to donate money to help BEST purchase kits for Davis and Lane students in need, you can donate online at the same website where families can purchase kits for their students, www.shopttkits.com. Please enter one of the following account codes to look up our schools:

In addition, donors may also mail checks made out to BEST/PTO to BEST c/o Holly Munsie, Davis School, 410 Davis Rd., Bedford, MA 01730. Please make a note that the check is for the Good Neighbor Program. BEST/PTO will be accepting donations by check until June 14th and online until June 16th. Thank you for your generosity!
