Scores of Bedford school kids walked or biked to school this morning, some on the chaperoned trips to Lane and Davis schools, and others on their own.

The Biking Train took off from Depot Park and traveled the Rail Trail to Lane School, crossing Pine Hill Road with the help of the Bedford Police detail and CERT volunteers.

Sadly, no one took advantage of the Walking School Bus chaperoned walk to Lane School.

The Celebratory Walk and Roll to Davis School drew a crowd on bikes, on scooters, and on foot.

In the end, there was the Davis School ‘After Party’ — that’s when dads and moms brought helmets, bikes, and scooters back to their cars so the kids could ride home on the school bus.
