Submitted by State Rep Ken Gordon
State Rep Ken Gordon (D-Bedford) is honored to announce that Burlington’s Bill Beyer has volunteered to serve as his new Treasurer, succeeding the late Rich Bowen, who passed away in January.
Beyer is the former chair of Burlington’s Ways and Means Committee and recently won election as town moderator.
“I am truly honored that a person with the integrity and commitment to public service such as Bill Beyer has agreed to take over as our new Treasurer,” said Gordon.
Beyer will be responsible for reporting to the Office of Campaign and Public Finance and generally keeping track of Gordon’s campaign accounting. He replaces Bowen, who served since Gordon organized his first campaign in 2012.
“I am lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Rich Bowen,” said Gordon. “He was a pleasure to work with, and I expect Bill Beyer will continue as another great partner.”
