Man Identified in Fatal Bedford Crash

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man killed yesterday following a crash at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (VA Hospital) in Bedford.

The man has been identified as Gerald Flynn, 60, a resident of 100 Pride Way on the VA Hospital property.

At approximately 5:28 p.m., on Sunday, February 12, 2017, police responded to a report of a crash on hospital property involving a snow plow and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, first responders located a 60-year-old male in traumatic arrest. CPR and emergency medical services were rendered, and the man was taken by the Bedford Fire Department to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington where he was pronounced dead.

The driver remained on scene and made the initial 911 call. No charges  have been filed at this time. This remains an open and active investigation.
