Lynne O’Connor has announced that she will not be running again for Library Trustee when Town Caucus convenes Tuesday, January 10. She has served as a trustee for 15 years since first elected in 2002.
Library Director Richard Callaghan said he appreciated her contributions to the Trustees, adding that she would often raise questions no one else had thought to ask. “I could rely on her advice and appreciated her counsel,” he said in a telephone interview with the Bedford Citizen.
A major contribution has been her professional experience in marketing and
consumer research. Several times during her tenure she helped in analyzing public surveys on library use and user satisfaction. This information was an essential tool in formulating and updating the library’s long-range plans.
