JGMS Basketball Teams Split Double-Header with Westford’s Stony Brook Middle School

JGMS basketball teams split a twilight double-header with the visiting Stony Brook Middle School of Westford.  The Boys team started the afternoon with a hard-fought loss 25-40.

After sundown, the JGMS girls team picked up the pace and won 35-30.

The Bucs jumped out to a 15-5 lead by the end of the first quarter, but Stony Brook closed the gap to 18-15 midway through the second quarter.

JGMS Girls Basketball pulled away in the third quarter, under strong shooting by Katherine Vaughan #34 who led in scoring with 12 points.
