Purchasing electricity, gas leaks in Bedford and community aggregation will be the topics at a Bedford Energy Task Force meeting at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 14 in the multi-purpose room at Town Hall.
Grace M. Sawaya, the Community and Customer Manager for National Grid will represent the utility which supplies natural gas to Bedford.
Community aggregation programs, created under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 164 Section 134, allow a municipality to contract for electric power on behalf of consumers in a city or town. The goal is to lower costs to consumers through bulk purchasing.
