The final production of “Music Island” a production featuring the youth choirs at First Parish on the Common will take place at 7 pm tonight,  Saturday, June 11.

Written by Liz Buchanan, “Music Island” is a humorous story of what happens when a silly governor bans all music from a magical island.

In their first performance on Friday night, the cast and crew did an amazing job of bringing the story to life through song and dance.

The cast includes children of all ages acting as cat-magicians, birds, rebellious children, the governor and his family, and singing pirates. The production is the culmination of months of work of the youth choirs of the church, the music director, Janet Welby, the costumers, the stage crew, and the adult volunteers.

Judging by the quality of last night’s production, all the effort was well worth it!
