Selectmen Grant License for “Peppers,” a New Restaurant in The Great Road Shopping Center

By Debra Parkhurst

SelectmenAt their meeting on May 16, the Selectmen granted a license for a new restaurant, “Peppers,” specializing in Neapolitan Pizza and other Italian dishes.  The new restaurant was also granted an all-alcohol liquor license.

Owner James Morris of Clinton grew up in Bedford, and he looks forward to returning.  Morris operated a similar restaurant in downtown Maynard for the last eight years.  He anticipates an opening by late July or early August.

Operating hours will be Monday-Friday, 10 am to 10 pm; Saturday, 6 am to 10 pm, and Sunday, 6 am to 1pm.  The early start on the weekends will allow Peppers to continue as a breakfast destination, a popular choice when Sparta occupied that location for many years.
