JGMS Production of ‘Annie Jr.’ Nominated for Three Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Musical Awards

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Annie, Jr., the 2016 JGMS musical.

If you attended last Thursday’s vocal concert at the Middle School, you heard the news in real time: Annie Jr. was nominated for three Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Musical Awards.

The production earned nods in three categories:

  • Best Props Design and Management (Nicole Hebert, manager)
  • Best Sound Design and Execution (Cory Abraham, manager)
  • Best Specialty Ensemble (Lead Orphan Ensemble: Isabella Panagiotou, Talitha Dantas, Carly DeMello, Araz Dulgarian, Molly Goldfarb, Amelia Leida, Adriana Panagiotou, and Isabella Santiago)

The nominees will be attending the awards ceremony on Monday, June 13, at 7pm at the Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston.

Annie Jr. cast and crew members, as well as their friends and family, are invited to purchase tickets as well, and there will be a bus full of very excited folks leaving from Bedford that day. On-line sales will begin on Thursday, June 2nd at 10 am, at www.cutlermajestic.org.

About the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG) Musical Awards

METG is an organization of drama educators throughout the Commonwealth supporting theater in our schools through drama festivals, playwriting competitions, and awards for theater excellence. They send adjudicators to play and musical productions at their 150+ member schools, including JGMS, and offer helpful comments and critiques to the student performers and crew.
