Dear Faculty, Staff, Students and Families,
As you may have now heard, Principal Turner has accepted the Newton North High School principal position, effective July 1. While Henry’s departure signifies a serious loss for Bedford, I wish him the very best of luck in his new role.
One of Henry’s signature strengths is his very deliberate cultivation of the leadership capacity of his administrative team. That team, which is stronger than it’s ever been, will stand the high school in good stead as it undergoes its impending leadership transition. I am certain that the present leadership will continue to support the wonderful teacher creativity and the advances in social emotional supports that have fared so well during the past four years.
In the coming days, we will begin the process of searching for a new high school principal. In the coming weeks, I will hold a series of meetings to solicit input from our various constituencies, and I will assemble an interview committee comprised of students, parents, teachers, administrators and School Committee members. Please stay tuned.
