Town Manager Richard Reed recently announced that Michael Rosen has been hired as Bedford’s new Assistant Town Manager.
Rosen grew up in New York City and received his BA from Binghamton University, part of the State University of New York. He obtained his Masters in Public Administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, with concentrations in Local Government and Policy Analysis. While in graduate school he served as an intern in the County Manager’s Office for Schenectady County, NY.
As the Executive Assistant to the First Selectman in Greenwich, CT, for the past 3 1/2 years, Rosen worked closely with the Town Administrator and the Selectmen in preparing budgets, providing constituent services, and managing the daily affairs of the First Selectman’s office. Greenwich’s First Selectman holds a full-time, elected position.
The Bedford Citizen will post an in-depth interview with Rosen in early January.
