As Bedford makes its final preparations for Halloween on Saturday, the festivities got under way early Friday morning with the students at Bedford’s Integrated Preschool marching around the Bedford High School pick-up/drop-off loop in their Halloween costumes for 15 minutes at 8:40 am.
While the combination of a crisp and bright fall morning plus loving parents armed with smartphones would have made for an adorable experience in and of itself, just before the parade got underway about 75 Bedford High School students came outside to join the line of parents and other family members on either side of the road. As the little ones came down the loop, the BHS students raucously cheered on the preschoolers, and the youngest students in Bedford got a huge boost from the extra support and enthusiasm provided by the teenagers- another wonderful example of how Bedford is such a wonderful place to be raising our kids.
Happy Halloween to all, enjoy the assorted activities around town throughout the weekend, and stay safe tomorrow night as you walk around in the dark.
