Bedford’s Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZPN), a leading provider of software and services to the process industries, today announced that the company will form a collaborative technical partnership with the Engineering Development Research Center (EDRC) of Seoul National University. Antonio Pietri, President and CEO of AspenTech, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the EDRC today at the US-Korea Business Innovation Forum, in advance of South Korean President Geun-hye’s fourth summit meeting with President Obama.
“AspenTech is pleased to partner with the EDRC at Seoul National University of South Korea,” said Pietri, “and to continue collaborating with students and faculty at this leading worldwide engineering hub. The work we do together will help to prepare the next generation of process engineers to address the challenges they will face in tomorrow’s world.”
The AspenTech EDRC MoU will continue the development of Korea-customized AspenTech customer training programs, as well as support process engineering graduate student internships and other initiatives including joint research and development programs.
