The Concord Art Association has announced the artists whose works were chosen for the RODDY, the 16th Annual Frances N. Roddy Open Competition, established in the memory of Frances N. Roddy, a wonderful artist and generous supporter of Concord Art Association,
Several members of Bedford Center for the Arts — painter Kathy Deflice Secor; printmaker Doris Smith; and photographers Robert Bass, Marv Goldschmitt and Joyce Saler – submitted work that was juried into the exhibit from among 500 submissions.
Thecompetition’s juror is Jennifer Gross, Chief Curator and Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.
The RODDY will open with a reception and award ceremony in the Main Gallery tonight (Thursday, September 17) from 6 to 8 pm. The show closes on October 21.
