Jennifer Rosier Launches ‘Tutor Doctor’ in Bedford

Special to The Bedford Citizen

TutorDoctorThere will be fewer “math meltdowns” and other homework headaches in Bedford and surrounding towns now that Jennifer Rosier has introduced Tutor Doctor  to the community.

Tutor Doctor offers one-on-one private tutoring for academic support and enrichment for all subject areas, test prep, and services for students with learning differences such as autism, ADHD, or executive function.  Tutor Doctor of Middlesex County will open on August 19th by local entrepreneur Jennifer Rosier.

Rosier is no newcomer to the tutoring business. With more than twenty years of experience working with high school students, Rosier and former business partner Lindsey Goodhue launched College Prep Solutions, an SAT/ACT prep and college admissions consultancy, seven years ago. Though her current work centers on college-bound high school students, Rosier sees a real need for trusted tutors and academic support for all ages.  “My families often come to me looking for tutors for their younger children.  Families in our community need affordable and effective tutors, and people need to feel assured that their kids are working with trusted and vetted professionals.”

The tutoring industry is growing at a rapid rate.  According to the Global Industry Analyst’s report on Private Tutoring, the growth in private tutoring is primarily attributed to the need to assist children in keeping pace with classroom teaching activities, improve overall grades, and enhance knowledge and skill levels of children.

In highly challenging school systems like Bedford and surrounding schools, the need for tutoring support is even more acutely felt.  Says Rosier, “I’ve raised four kids in the Bedford public schools. The quality of our schools’ curricula and teachers is absolutely topnotch.  We are fortunate to be part of a school system that challenges our kids on a daily basis-but meeting that challenge doesn’t come easy for everyone! All of my kids have required tutoring support at different times in their academic careers.”

The Tutor Doctor in-home tutoring model is simple but effective :  assessment, careful matching of student-to-tutor, curriculum-based support, and consistent communication and feedback with teachers and families.  “The process just works,” explains Rosier, “and I feel good about being able to offer convenient, trusted tutoring at a price that works for most families.”

The Tutor Doctor franchise is multi-national, but Tutor Doctor of Middlesex County is undeniably a local business. “I am not willing to compromise on the personal care and attention I’ve always provided to each of our families, and I hope to draw from our community to hire excellent part-time tutors and staff,” says Rosier.
