Dan Hurwitz is known around town to be an ardent cyclist, participating in the Sturbridge to Provincetown Pan Mass Challenge rides  for the past 10 years. He has also served on Bedford’s Bicycle Advisory Committee as well as the town’s Trails Committee.  Yet the new dimension Hurwitz has added to his cycling biography this year is apt to endear him to all-weather cyclists, runners and skiers throughout New England, and beyond:  WinBib™(patent pending) is a totally new kind of wind-blocking garment for athletes outdoors in inclement or cold weather.

Although none of the riders in the 2015 Pan Mass Challenge expect the kind of wet, raw weather that marked last year’s ride, they will be able to learn more about WinBib when Hurwitz sets up his display at the pre-event  PMC Vendor Expo from 3 to 8 pm on Friday, July 31 in the Host Hotel in Sturbridge. On Saturday morning, Hurwitz will take off on his two-day 188 mile PMC ride to Provincetown, via Bourne.

Because Hurwitz is a stalwart Pan Mass Challenge partisan, 25% of all WinBib sales at the Vendor Expo will be contributed to the PMC to fund cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

About the WinBib

The WinBib™ is a breathable, wind-proof bib, similar to a child’s food bib, except it blocks the wind. Able to fold easily into the back pocket of a cycling jersey, WinBib is worn underneath the cyclist or skier’s outermost layer, protecting and warming the torso. The bib has proved useful at any temperature below 60 degrees.  Manufactured in Holyoke, MA, using domestic fabric, WinBib’s logo label proudly proclaims “Made in the USA.”

About WinBib, LLC

The WinBib™ was conceived and developed by company founder and CEO Dan Hurwitz on the beautiful cycling roads around Bedford, MA, and  refined on New England’s ski slopes.  The home office is in Bedford, and manufacturing takes place in Holyoke, MA.  All models feature US-made Polartec® brand fleece and other domestically produced fabrics.
