Ready to Read Parent Education Workshop
Mon Apr 13, 2015, 7:30–8:30 pm
First Parish Church, Room L02, 75 Great Road

Learning to read is a process that begins the moment your child begins picking up books. The age in which a child learns to read can be very broad. Some may learn as young as age three or four, while for others it doesn’t fully click until age seven or eight. In this seminar you will learn very basic things you can do with your child from babyhood through young childhood to help foster a love of reading and develop the skills necessary to help your child learn to read. Please rsvp to [email protected] to reserve your seat. About the presenter: Renae Stockton Nichols is a Bedford resident and mother to 6-year-old twins. Renae graduated from Dartmouth College as a certified elementary classroom teacher with a B.A. in psychology. She received her M.Ed. from Lesley University, and at the same time, became a certified reading specialist. Renae worked as an elementary classroom teacher for eight years. She has since been working as a private tutor and advocate for children needing additional learning support.
