A World of Music – Middlesex Community College’s Spring Concert Series Begins on March 27

MCC World of MusicThe spring concerts in the Middlesex Community College A World of Music series will begin on March 27.

Aaron Larget-Caplan, an exciting young guitarist, will perform a classical guitar recital featuring works by Bach, Scarlatti, Dyens, Fujii and a short guitar duo with MCC faculty member Adam Levin, guitar. The concert will take place at 8 pm on Friday, March 27,  in the Bedford Concert Hall.

A concert of music from South America featuring works from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela will take place in the Assembly Room of the Federal Building on MCC’s Lowell Campus at 3 pm on Saturday, April 4.

Carmen Rodriguez Peralta will be joined by the internationally acclaimed violinist Ryu Goto to perform violin/piano works by Franck, Saariaho and Wieniawski.  Goto will be playing a Stradivarius 1722 violin “Jupiter” on loan to him from Nippon Music Foundation. The concert will take place at 8 pm on Friday, April 17 in the Bedford Concert Hall.

The MCC Faculty Composers concert featuring new works by music faculty members Richard Chowenhill, David Janssen, Todd Kitchen, Aaron Rosenberg and Michele Zaccagnini will be performed at 3 pm on Sunday, May 3  in the Bedford Concert Hall.

The series will conclude with three student recitals.
