December 17th Bedford High School sent 44 students to the DECA District IV competition at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough.
DECA (Distributive Executive Clubs of America) prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges through seminars, role-plays, and examinations. This is Bedford High’s second year of having a DECA club and so far it has been a success. The team had 16 students its first year and has now grown to 48.

Lead by advisor Justine Flora, Bedford DECA had 2 Final students qualify for the State competition in Boston in March. The state competition is a three-day, two-night event at the Marriott Copley. Students will join 2,400 other state winners and compete again for a chance to head to Florida for the International Career Development Conference and compete against the national winners. Last year Bedford had three finalists at the State event.
This years state finalists are B. Johnson, J. Jeon, M. Judge, E. Miller, D. Arsenault, B. Inz, A. Leonard, L. Ou, J. Berenson, B. Flynn, C. Green, E. Spector, J. Dickinson-Meltz, L. Doyle, T. Proulx, D. Kang, R. Rhodes, B. Stacey. A. Stroup, N. KC
DECA would like to thank all that have supported our team financially. It is a long road ahead and the team has a lot of money to raise in order to get to the State competition.
The club is accepting donations and sponsorships. If you would like to help support contact Justine Flora [email protected]
