Starting Wednesday, August 6th, DPW will be working on the bike path between Depot Park and Wiggins Avenue.  This next phase of construction is to remove the tree roots that run across the bikepath.

The pavement over the root will be milled, grinding up the root in the process.  We expect to mill in the morning and patch the trenches in the afternoon so that the surface is smooth at the end of the day.  There will be a police detail with the crew to direct users around the job site.  This work should take about 4-5 days.

On Monday, August 18th the full width of the bike path will be milled;  this process will take approximately two days.  We are scheduled to repave on Wednesday, August 20th for an additional two days.  During this work, the bikepath will be closed during the day due do the heavy equipment and trucks backing down the path.
