Emerson Hospital’s annual Family Health and Wellness Expo on Saturday, May 4, drew several Bedford residents to the hospital’s main campus on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord.
The Expo offered free appointments for skin cancer screening; cholesterol tests; prostate specific antigen (PSA); and thyroid function.
There were walk-in screenings for blood pressure, bone density, diabetes, oral cancer, respiratory or postural issues.
Participants could choose to analyze their body fat and discuss general health issues with wellness experts or learn about reiki, tai chi, acupuncture, and self-defense.
Face painting, paramedic truck tours, kids’ fitness activities, chair massage and Wii games entertained the entire family.
