5K Run~Walk for Cancer on May 31 to Benefit MGH Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital-Bethke

The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary’s annual 5K Run~Walk for Cancer brings together runners, walkers and families from across the 25 communities served by Emerson Hospital to support cancer care at the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital—Bethke. The rain-or-shine event will take place at the Thoreau Club Field, 275 Forest Ridge Road in Concord, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31.

The 5K Run~Walk and one-mile Kids Fun Run follow groomed trails and residential streets. A post-race award ceremony will honor medalists in various race categories and the event’s top fundraisers. Participants and their guests are invited to remain at the Thoreau Club for a BBQ and family activities, including a tot trot for children 5 and under accompanied by an adult, swimming and sports, craft activities and an inflatable obstacle course.

The Kids Fun Run begins at 9:15 a.m., the 5K Run~Walk begins at 10:00 a.m., and the post-race ceremony takes place at 11:00 a.m. Online registration is available until 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, May 29.  Walk-in registrations on the day of the event are welcome.
