Sky and Telescope magazine editor and Bedford resident Alan MacRobert appeared on Monday’s nationally broadcast Today Show  to talk about tonight’s total eclipse of the moon.

A total lunar eclipse hasn’t been visible in North America since December, 2011. Beginning around 1:30 in the morning, the most visible and dramatic shading of the moon will begin at 2:07 am, with totality at 3:46 am. While the skies may be cloudy, Intellicast.com predicts gusty winds and a low temperature in the mid-50s.
