Area floral designers will create unique arrangements to complement Powers Gallery’s distinctive art collection during Reflections in Bloom, an elegant and fun-filled party to benefit the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2104.
The party will include both a silent and a live auction. In addition to other gifts, the live auction will include original work created during the party by artists Jean Lightman and Harley Bartlett along with a quilt, “Urban Tumbler,” donated by Barbara Weiss, also known as “Quilting B” of Harvard, MA.
A raw bar will be supplied by Maynard’s Quarterdeck Market. Music by Shane Wood has been graciously sponsored by the Concord Health Care Center.
Arrangements by the following floral designers will be among the party’s highlights: Barbara Morse of Rooms and Blooms, Acton; Laura Lindop, Acton; Linda O’Neill of Landscapes by Linda, Acton; Maureen Christmas of Floral Notes, Acton; Thelma Shoneman, Acton; Judy Lane, Carlisle; Jennifer Eaton of Copper Penny, Concord; Lauren Huyett, Concord; Rebecca Purcell, Concord; Wilhelmina van der Wansem, Concord; Ellen Whitney, Concord; Lisa Bohne of Lavender, Groton; and Michael Spanos of Floral Arts, Westford.
Proceeds from the party will benefit Emerson Hospital in Concord, Bedford’s community hospital, through the efforts of the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary.
