Submitted by the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary

Swing-into-Spring-logoThe 38th annual Swing into Spring Pops concert to benefit the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will take place on Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 51 Walden St. in Concord.

The Concord Band will perform an exciting program when Conductor James O’Dell kicks off his fifth season by welcoming returning jazz vocalist Amanda Carr, a multi-styled vocalist/pianist who began her career in her early teens.

For more than three decades, Carr has performed and recorded both in the U.S. and Italy. According to Nat Hentoff of The Wall Street Journal, “Amanda is a pianist and composer, she sings and swings with the unaffected confidence of a genuine jazz improviser. She is an authentic musician.”

Tickets cost $30 in advance or at the door. The event has sold out in the past, so make your plans now for this exciting event! Attend with your family, friends and neighbors to help the Auxiliary make it a success.

Special thanks go to underwriters Robert and Mary Kemp of Capital Growth Management, and Eric and Denise Haartz of the Haartz Corporation as well as the dozens of corporations and individuals helping to sponsor the event.

For information about purchasing tickets contacting Margaret Richardson at (978) 790-6000 or [email protected].
