The Music Committee at First Parish in Bedford presents two performances of  Three Masterpieces by Three Masters, a concert featuring works by Bach, Mozart, and Purcell on Saturday, March 29, at 4 and at 7:30 pm.

The program begins with Bach’s exuberant Brandenburg Concerto #5, featuring virtuoso harpsichordist Yoko Hagino, with Bradford Conner, First Parish Music Director, conducting a string ensemble. Soprano Epp Sonin follows, singing Mozart’s glorious “Exsultate Jubilate,” with Carol Epple, flute, and Elizabeth Connors, clarinet.

Finally, the program presents a semi-staged version of Purcell’s brief opera, Dido and Aeneas, a classic story of love and abandonment.  Mezzo soprano Cynthia Mork will sing the role of Dido, with other First Parish members and friends Carol Krusemark, Ben Sears and Sandra Seitz soloists, and the adult choir filling out the cast and chorus.
