More than 3,000 designated 501(c)3 non-profit organizations are already listed as recipients of the Boston Globe’s list of GRANT program (Globe Readers And Non-profits Together).
Four of them include Bedford in their names:
- Bedford Center for the Arts
- Bedford Community Table/ Pantry Inc.
- Bedford Schools Association
- Bedford SEPAC: Special Education Parent Advisory Council.
And many are familiar organizations in nearby towns: Emerson Hospital, the Lexington Symphony and Acton’s HGRM: Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts. There are also regional charities like the PanMass Challenge, Audubon Society, and Scharfman Educational Fund of the League of Women Voters. Click here to peruse the full list. If your favorite charity isn’t already there, you’re invited to add it.
Boston Globe subscribers received an invitation to participate in their GRANT program (Globe Readers And Non-profits Together) earlier this year, a way to support a favorite non-profit at no personal cost. You may have lost your initial envelope and you might have given up on the idea of participating.
The Globe has designed a solution and extended the program’s deadline until Monday, April 1. Sending an email message to [email protected], including your name, email address, street address , and most importantly, the name of your favorite non-profit, saves searching for the original packet and bringing it to the mailbox.
The Globe’s email option is simple, so take a minute and do a good deed. Your favorite charity will appreciate your help.
Editor’s Note: The Bedford Citizen has benefited from a connection with the Boston Globe since our first post in July, 2012: Our three most recent stories can always be found on the Globe’s Your Town Bedford page, giving The Citizen a scope that extends well beyond Bedford. Sharing GRANT information is a way to return the favor.
