The Ina Mansur Reader: Tales of Bedford, Massachusetts

Submitted by The Bedford Historical Society

Mansur-cover600A set of “lost classics” has been reissued: The Bedford Historical Society announces the publication The Ina Mansur Reader, a collection of more than 100 articles by Bedford’s then official Town Historian, Ina Mansur.

Originally published in the Bedford Minute-Man between 1975 and 1988, these stories provide a wealth of information about Bedford’s origins and early days, notable people, houses, schools, and much more.

Mrs. Mansur, though a newcomer to Bedford, combined her love of local history with her meticulous research skills to create a significant contribution to the story of Bedford.

Edited by local author Alethea Yates, these stories have been brought up to date for 21st century audiences with explanatory remarks and dozens of photographs.

Copies may be purchased at the offices of the Bedford Historical Society, 781-275-7276, [email protected].
