Solarize Mass Installer’s Presentation on Thursday, March 6

March 3, 2014

Solarize Mass LexBedAstrum Solar, the designated installer for Bedford residents and businesses interested in putting solar panels on their homes under the Solarize Mass program, will make a presentation on Thursday, March 6, in the auditorium of the Bedford Town Hall, 10 Mudge way.

This company was chosen from among a group of solar installers that applied to participate in the Bedford-Lexington “Solarize Mass” program. Bedford teamed up with Lexington to receive a grant from the Mass Clean Energy Center and the Mass Department of Energy Resources that enables the two communities to promote solar electric (photovoltaic or “PV”) installations through a grassroots educational campaign.  Residents and small businesses in the Bedford and Lexington are eligible to sign up, and a tiered pricing structure increases the savings for everyone as more homes and businesses join the program.

This is the third year that Solarize Mass has awarded grants to municipalities to promote solar energy.  Since that start, over 900 residents and business owners have signed contracts for small-scale solar electricity systems.

More information about Bedford’s Solarize Mass grant program is available from Bedford’s Solar Coach, Dave Enos, at 781-275-1802 or [email protected] and on the Solarize Mass website, www.solarizemass.com
