Community Update: High-speed chase ends in Bedford; two school bus routes affected

March 31, 2014

Compiled by The Bedford Citizen

Because of a high-speed multi-town chase that ended in a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Springs Road and Oak Ridge Lane, parents of children who ride Lane bus 7 and Davis bus 13 need to pick up their children at school today.

In a telephone interview with Lane School admin Karen Lua, The Citizen learned that she will remain in the office until the last child is picked up this afternoon.

Additionally, this message came from Superintendent Sills’s office: Apparently there was a high speed chase in Bedford, and people have been calling to ask if we were in lockdown.   As soon as we heard about it, we called the police station and were informed that the suspect was in custody.  Please note that we are NOT in lockdown
