On Sunday, February 2, S. Frederic Liss will read his short story, Mobius Strip 1, one of twenty-five that he has published, at the Bedford Lyceum, a public forum held each week from 9:30 to 10:50 am in room 204 on the second floor of at First Parish on the Common, Bedford’s historic meeting house.
S. Frederic Liss is better known by many as Stu Liss, a Bedford resident, former Library Trustee and attorney. He has published, or has forthcoming, 25 short stories and has received numerous awards and other forms of recognition. He has also written two highly acclaimed collections of short stories. In addition to his law degree, Stu earned a MFA from Emerson College in Boston and was the recipient of a Grant-in-Aid in Literature from the St. Botolph Club Foundation in Boston where he leads a workshop in writing.
Mobius Strip 1 is the story of a young wife and mother whose Iraq combat experience follows her home. This reviewer called it “breathtaking, rich with detail and context.”
