If you have ever stepped inside a Whole Foods Market, you immediately know that it is a business committed to excellence.  The bright and beautiful displays of fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheeses, meats, seafood, baked and prepared foods and everything else on the shelves are inviting and appetizing.

But did you also know that Whole Foods Market is and has been equally committed to being a supportive community partner to the Bedford community at large?  Granting a 5% Day is one example of their community partnership outreach.  On Wednesday, January 15th, Whole Foods Market will sponsor a 5% Day to benefit the Bedford Education Foundation (BEF).

A commitment to excellence is a goal also shared by the Bedford Education Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to provide grants to Bedford teachers for classroom innovation and creativity to meet the growing challenges of the 21st Century.  Since fall 2008, the BEF has provided more than $104,000 in funding to teachers in Bedford’s four public schools.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, January 15th and shop at Whole Foods located at 170 Great Road to show your support for these two community minded partners.  No coupons are required.  Whole Foods will donate 5% of the January 15th receipts (8:00 am – 9:00 pm) to the BEF with your help.  For additional information, please visit www.bedfordeducation.org or www.facebook.com/WholeFoodsMarketBedford.
