CONFIRMED AT 7:37 SUNDAY MORNING

“Roads are clear and Santa is ready to rock!”

Submitted by the Rotary Club of Bedford

This year, just as in the 26 previous years, Rotary Breakfast with Santa will give kids and adults alike a chance to enjoy a pancake breakfast, visit with Santa, and have fun with crafts and music.  But don’t let this lead you to believe that Rotary Breakfast with Santa is just for families with young children!  It’s for everyone who wants to help support the work that Rotary does locally and throughout the world.

Rotary Breakfast with Santa, to be held this Sunday, December 15th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bedford High School, is the Rotary Club of Bedford’s primary fundraiser.  Proceeds from the event will support

  • Minuteman ARC,
  • the Bedford Community Table and Food Pantry,
  • a maternal and child health project in Mali, West Africa,
  • Bedford’s Pay it Forward Meals for Haiti program (packaging 285,000 meals for school children in Haiti), high school scholarships,

and many other local and international projects.

Bedford’s Rotarians are committed to the ideal of “Service Above Self,” and donate their time, talent and financial resources to the projects that the club supports.  “We can’t do it alone, though!” says Victor Tom, current President of the Bedford club.  “We rely on partnerships with corporate sponsors, individual contributions large and small, matching grants from Rotary International, as well as the proceeds from fundraisers such as Breakfast with Santa.  This year we are especially grateful for the significant financial support from Middlesex Savings Bank and The Goddard School.  Without support from these local businesses, our list of service projects would be much shorter.  We also want to acknowledge Braver & Company P.C., LEAP School, Primrose School of Burlington and Wegmans for joining us in support of Rotary’s work in the community.”

The Rotary Club encourages all who wish to share in the spirit of helping our neighbors during the holiday season to stop by Breakfast with Santa, with or without young children.  It’s an opportunity to learn about what Bedford Rotarians are doing to put “Service Above Self.”  More information is available at www.bedfordmarotary.org/BreakfastwithSanta.cfm.
