Come one, come all to the 4th Annual BEF Winter Bash THIS Saturday night, December 7th at 7:00 pm at Waxy O’Connor’s in Lexington!

A group of volunteers, pictured, have been working tirelessly over the past couple of months to make this year’s Winter Bash a success.  So far, they have collected over $15,000 worth of auction items.

What are the top ten reasons to come to bid in the auction?

10.  Ten JGMS boys are planning to watch Super Bowl XLVIII at your house – at least until half time when their parents will fetch them. But what to feed them?  The BEF Super Bowl Giant Snack & Drink Basket, of course!

9.  The dreaded high school/college reunion is already circled on the calendar.  Where was that number for “Get in Shape for Women”?  It is just what you need for that extra boost of confidence to make it through the night.

8.  Did I forget to mention that the reunion is in Boston?  Your parents have generously agreed to stay over and babysit!  A reservation at the Boston Marriott Cambridge would be a wonderful way to round out the
evening.

7.  February School Vacation Week and your third grader wants her birthday celebration to be a snow tubing adventure at Nashoba, but the temperature just hit 50 degrees.  You can already smell the pizza and hear the giggles of pleasure that will be coming from the private room at Flatbread Pizza – a perfect spot for an impromptu birthday gathering.

6.  Your daughter and future son in-law would like a “home and garden wedding” – your home and garden that presently does not look like House Beautiful or the Garden of Eden.  Which Kevin to call for a consultation?  “This Old House” Kevin O’Connor or Bedford’s own Kevin Latady.  The choice is clear – our neighbor, Kevin Latady, who has all the skills to make the transformation complete.

5.  The only item on your daughter’s Christmas List is the highly coveted American Girl Doll of the Year, Saige.  Can’t find your son’s only request, The Star Wars LEGO Tie Fighter?  We’ve got you covered.  Santa is a hero!

4.  You love the idea of attending a Celtics home game but then you remember the parking hassle and decide watching it on the big screen in the family room will have to do.  How about a pair of tickets for the Friday, January 3rd game against New Orleans – Loge 22, Row 1 with a parking pass that lets you painlessly drive in and out of the parking garage?

3.  Your husband just sent you a text that his family is “dropping by” in an hour on their way to a gathering in your area.  The dilemma:  Do you drag out the vacuum cleaner or wash your hair?   The choice is obvious: jump in the shower and put the iRobot Roomba to work!

2.  Just about every fifth grade student in Bedford has toured the historic Fitch Tavern but have you?  Now, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious gourmet dinner for four and a personally guided tour of the Fitch Tavern.

1.  The roar of the Game 6 celebration is still ringing in your ears.  How does a pair of Red Sox tickets in the State Street Pavilion Club sound to you?

And about 85 other reasons too good to pass up!  Not to mention a festive evening to kick off the holiday season for a good cause.
